A Finnish company from the airsoft field is massively registering trademarks from the firearms sector.
In the future, this MIGHT lead to problems if you try to sell your gun and it's name is related to one of the trademarks.
Here is a list of all registered trademarks and registration applications:

Re: Warning of trademark issues in gun sales!
Hasn't this been discussed in some of the PD forums? As far as I've followed it, theyre doing it in order to prevent foreing companies from registering those names as their trademarks in Finland.

Yea, this has been a hot topic in the leka-airsoft forum. I strongly believe that they have a hidden agenda on this, they're not just doing it to protect Finnish airsoft. Only the future will show us what they are really after with this thing. Gotta give them some credits tho; what a brilliant idea to beat the competitors.

Re: Warning of trademark issues in gun sales!
Well, this agenda is not very hidden... If a company registers names of foreign products as trademarks, they usually want to either blackmail those manufacturers when they want to sell their products in the country of the company and/or blackmail people which imported those products and want to resell them. We've seen this kind of stuff happen enough in other countries.
I'm just not sure if e.g. HK or FN Herstal or Bushmaster are exactly a wise choice of opponent. HK is pretty well known to react quite unkindly to trademark issues... Besides the fact that e.g. Cybergun already holds a couple of the trademarks as EU-trademarks and they usually really kick ass about trademarks because that's what they mainly live from...
The main problem for now is that they could theoretically make trouble for everybody who wants to sell something which they have a trademark for publically. This would include private sales in forums...
